Group Chief Operations Officer

Ibrahim is the Chief Operating Officer of the AMG Petroenergy Group. He joined AMG Petroenergy in 2002 as Executive Director, Business Development. Ibrahim is responsible for the groups operations and commercial activities, which include the trading and retail businesses, which have positioned the group internationally as one of the most active indigenous oil trading companies. His visionary leadership and ability to successfully navigate the oil trading markets led to a Reuters piece on the company in 2005. Ibrahim also plays a pivotal role in the company’s strategic business development and expansion in the oil and gas business and into other sectors.

Prior to joining AMG, Ibrahim worked with Matad Oil Ltd where he was General Manager, Operations from 1997 to 2001. He was solely responsible for the procurement of all petroleum products for the UNTL Group, the largest textile group in Africa.

Ibrahim is an alumnus of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations. He has attended several international courses on Oil Trading and bunkering.

Ibrahim enjoys playing squash and football and he is happily married with three daughters.
